Our company maintains a strong exclusive partnership with Hidrostal.
The HIDROSTAL pump series represents the latest innovation in wastewater pumping, combining reliability, high efficiency, large solid passage capability, and excellent performance in handling fluids with long fibers.
This has been achieved through the design and development of HIDROSTAL's unique Screw Centrifugal Impeller, which combines the features of screw and centrifugal pumps, making HIDROSTAL pumps exceptional for:
- Pumping wastewater containing large solids and fibrous material.
- Handling viscous fluids.
- Transporting fragile materials.
- Pumping fluids that must avoid shear stress (low shear pumping).
- Handling fluids containing gases.
Impeller Design and Operation:
The HIDROSTAL impeller features a single blade extending axially with an increasing diameter from the suction inlet to its end. This creates a screw-like shape around the impeller's axis, functioning as a positive displacement pump for two-thirds of its length and as a centrifugal pump for the remaining third.
The axially-developed blade design ensures that fibrous materials are expelled without clogging or buildup on the impeller, as the liquid flow is nearly parallel to the blade's edge (unlike other impeller types). Additionally, the large impeller passage allows the smooth handling of large solids without causing pump wear.
Applications:
HIDROSTAL pumps are ideal for a variety of applications, including:
- Untreated wastewater (without screening).
- Primary sludge.
- Digested sludge.
- Activated sludge.
- RAS (does not damage floc formations).
- Thickened sludge.
- Fluids containing gases.
- Slurry and viscous fluids.
- Transport of fruits, live fish, and other delicate materials.
- Drainage (water with high sand content).
- Various industrial applications.
